• 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  • 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Butter an 8″ square pan; sprinkle nuts on bottom.

In a medium saucepan, combine the brown sugar and butter. Cook over medium heat to 290 degrees on a candy thermometer, stirring often. Remove from heat. Spread over nuts in pan. Sprinkle chocolate chips on top; let stand 1-2 minutes. When softened, spread over toffee.

Chill thoroughly; break into pieces.
