• 4 lbs beef chuck roast
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1 packet dry onion soup mix
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 carrots, peeled and chopped
  • 3 potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 1 stalk celery, chopped 

Season chuck roast with pepper. Brown beef in a large skillet over high. Transfer to slow cooker. Add all remaining ingredients to slow cooker. 

Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours.
