• 2/3 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 6 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1-3/4 cups milk
  • 1 loaf (1 lb) French bread, cut into 1″ slices

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 15″ x 10″ x 1″ baking pan with no-stick cooking spray. Set aside.

Combine brown sugar, butter, and cinnamon in a small bowl. Spread evenly in baking pan.

In a shallow bowl, combine eggs and milk. Dip bread into egg mixture; let soak for 5 minutes, turning once. Place bread over brown sugar mixture in baking pan. Bake 25-30 minutes or until golden brown. Serve brown sugar side up. Dust with powdered sugar or drizzle with maple syrup if desired.
