• 2 cups sugar
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 3 cups quick cooking oats

In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, cocoa, milk, and butter. Cook over medium heat until it comes to a boil. Remove from heat; cool for one minute. Add vanilla, salt, peanut butter, and oats. Mix well.

Drop by teaspoonfuls onto wax paper. Allow to set, then store in an airtight container.

Makes about 2-1/2 dozen.
