- 4 cups rolled oats
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp nutmeg
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted
- 1 cup chopped walnuts
- 1/2 cup dried apricots, chopped
- 1/2 cup dark raisins
- 1/2 cup golden raisins
- 1/2 cup dates, chopped
- 1/2 cup dried cherries
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Place oats, salt, and nutmeg in a large bowl and toss to coat the flakes with seasoning. In a small bowl, combine honey and butter. Pour honey mixture over the oats and toss until well coated.
Spread the mixture on a large baking sheet. Bake until golden, approximately 20 minutes. Remove from oven and allow to cool. Then break into small chunks and place in an airtight container. Add walnuts and dried fruit; toss to combine.
