- 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 cups + 3 tbsp all-purpose flour, divided
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup + 2 tbsp butter or margarine
- 2-1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 pint fresh or frozen blueberries
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 8″ x 8″ x 2″ baking dish with no-stick spray and set aside.
In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, 3 tablespoons flour, and cinnamon. Cut in 2 tablespoons butter until mixture is crumbly. Set aside.
In a large bowl, beat 1/4 cup butter, sugar, and egg until fluffy. In batches, stir in remaining 2 cups flour, baking powder, and milk, beating after each addition until smooth. Fold in half of the blueberries.
Spread batter in baking dish. Top with remaining blueberries and sprinkle with brown sugar mixture. Bake for 1 hour or until edges pull away from sides of pan. Serve warm.
