• 3-4 cups peaches, peeled and sliced*
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp orange zest
  • 1/2 tsp lemon zest
  • 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup rolled oats
  • 1/3 cup flour
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Spray a 9″ x 9″ baking dish with no-stick spray and set aside.

In a large bowl, combine peaches, sugar, orange zest, and lemon zest. Place in baking dish.

In a medium bowl, combine brown sugar, oats, flour, salt, and nutmeg. Cut in butter and blend with a fork or pastry blender until mixture is crumbly. 

Top the fruit mixture with the flour mixture. Bake for 30-45 minutes until the top is lightly browned and the fruit is soft. Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream (if desired).

6-8 servings

*If using frozen peaches, allow them to thaw and then drain. Add 1 tablespoon flour.
